Company was founded in 2010 by Tomasz Gackoski. His career path was chosen based on aim to work with advanced sailing yachts. Therefore Tomasz education has started with aeronautical engineering on Warsaw University of Technology, and was continued with well know Cranfield University on Advanced Lightweight Structures. Recent, cutting edge technology, boats (Open 60, Americaโs cup) shows that competitive sailing is closer aeronautics than to ships.
Company uses most advanced and latest technology tools such as CATIA V5 for modelling, ANSYS ACP for composites simulations and FLUENT for Computational Fluid Dynamics. Many in-house tools (based on Excel, VBA & python) was developed to speed up the process of engineering and to make it optimal analytical calculations.
Advanced tools
Currently we established close cooperation with Latitude Yachts, great shipyard for large custom projects with carbon pre-pregs technology. We are cooperating closely as well with REGA yachts โ who is great for boat projects ~40-80โ and for projects that are smaller in term size but requires autoclave.
Cooperation
Based on experienced gained on big scale projects (100โ pre-preg boats, 70m+ wind turbine blades etc.) advanced composites engineering was developed as important part of the business. Currently we are working mostly on carbon prepreg structures (both in and out of autoclave).
Base don one of our projects (57โ carbon electric yacht) we developed skills for management for entire project โ from initial design till delivery to the client, with close cooperation with other designers, naval architects and yard.
